Academy of Passion & Sharing was founded in 2012 as Orchestra Passion & Sharing (OPS) by violinist and conductor Jin Yoon-il, with a common philosophy of sharing the passion of music with the audience. Through changing its name to Academy of Passion & Sharing (APS Symphonia) in 2015, the Academy establishes a new identity as ’discovery and reinterpretation’ to discover novel music, and continues to make strenuous efforts to couple the classical music with diverse genres of music, develop and evolve it into various forms of content. In 2016, with the support of the Korea Arts Council and the Korea Mecenat Association, it performed various concerts such as the 1st APS Sharing Concert at Jeollanamdo Provincial Office, the 20th anniversary memorial concert of Kim Kwang-suk at the Hakjeon Blue Theater, an invited performance at DDP in Dongdaemun, and a special performance at the JOY OLPARK Festival.In 2017, it was also supported by the Seoul Arts Foundation and the Korea Mecenat Association. In 2018, it won the grand prize in Arts & Business at the Korea Mecenat Competition. In 2019, it was selected as a mid- to long-term creative support project of the Arts Council Korea, receiving support for three years. Since its founding, it has been performing eight concerts a year, including two regular concerts every year. In 2021, it was designated as a professional arts organization in Seoul.
